Under the leadership of Lorah Yaccarino, the other members of SACRED FIRE ENSEMBLE include:.

Samantha Reetham Clayton, vocalist, arranger and songwriter. Born and raised
in Canada, Samantha came to New York to pursue a career in performance.
Setting roots in the area first with Lorah's group 'Ritual Motion', and world
beat band, 'Asha Nan', Samantha continued to explore her possibilities, in a
variety of musical genres.Samantha ,also a dancer, has traveled, taught and
performed with modern dance company, 'Movita' and the West African dance
troupe, 'Kibola Sougei'. Samantha enjoys sharing with her students the
beauty and wonder of the human voice.

John Carnes has been performing and playing bass for the past 18 years. He
was the accompanist for vocalist Mayia Greaves for five years and the bassist
for reggae band Rock Steady Posse for four years. He has performed at the
North Sea And Montreaux Jazz Festivals. He currently also plays gamelon with
the Balinese Gamelon Orchestra.

l.collier hyams, raised in South East Asia and Europe, began performing
percussive chopstick techniques on guitar at an early age. He has performed
across the US and the Caribbean, and Europe. in capacities as a songwriter
and a guitar sound artist. His by the book education is a BA in
photojournalism, an MA in sculpture and performance, and a MFA in integrated
electronic arts focused in performance art techniques.

Chris Reilly, studied percussion in Bombay India with Ustad alla Rakla and
Zakir Hussain. He has also performed with the Zakir Hussain Fusion Band.He
was a co-founder of the group Functional Lunacy and does session work with
Mercury Rev Cellophane as well as teaching tabla and being a guest lecturer
at Vassar College for the world music class.

Scott Smallwood (M.M. Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University)
is a composer/sound artist, percussionist, improviser, and electronic
musician based in Albany, NY. His interests lie in the realm of
improvisation, interactive electronics, and live processing of acoustic
instruments. His work has been presented widely throughout the United
States and abroad. Smallwood is currently a studio engineer at the iEAR
Studios of RPI, where he is also an adjunct faculty member teaching technical
production and documentation. He also serves as co-curator of the Albany
Improvisation Laboratory, and technical director of the Electronic Arts
Performance Series (EAPS) at iEAR.
